Tracey Hughes Depiction Collection

Depiction reflects a style that symbolizes honesty, quality and refinement.  The collection epitomizes pure, clean, designs and represents a charming, timeless look amidst their futuristics illustration.  The flawless designs are complemented by a remix of energetic colors.  The juxtaposition of soft neutral tones and bold flashy tones excite the senses.  The rich diversity of blondes, brunettes, and redheads merge with feature shades of pastels allowing for eccentric variations.  With minimal styling of all white fashion featuring clean lines, cut outs and silhouette body shapes, this sanguine attire permits the hair to be the central focus.

Charlie Price Romance Collection

NAHA Hairstylist of the Year Winner, Charlie Price wanted romance.  And he delivers.  In his latest collection of hairstyles, he juxtaposes texture and volume with soft, sleek strands.  Hair pulled back reveals a whirlwind of twists, and harsh shape gives way to beautiful cascades of long locks.  Much like romance itself, the hair in this collection is a combination of textures and volumes that work to create a perfect harmony.

"For these looks, I was going for a dreamy, romantic quality," Charlie says. "I also like the idea of each girl having over-the-top hair, but in a polished, beautiful way; the make-up was extra soft as well to support that notion."

Film Noir From the 2011 F.A.M.E Team

In collaboration with ghd and the brilliant Errol Douglas, this year’s Fellowship for British Hairdressing F.A.M.E Team for 2011 traveled back in time to an era that embraced Hollywood crime dramas and fiction; film noir. The results are stunning and big-screen worthy.

seanALIAN's Thoughts:
I am a HUGE fan of "Old Hollywood Glamour"  This collaboration between Errol Gouglas and GHD, is a work of art.  I'm really excited to see that the collection was able to fuse Old Hollywood and Modern Styling.  There's definitely a sense of smoothness and unfinished roughness through out the collection.  I love the idea of capturing the collection in black and white!

Chromatic Mum-E by Jake Thompson

With dream defying color drama, these Mummy Dearest display polychromatic vibrancy that transcends the ages.  Jake Thompson fuses shocking neon with tonally compatible pastels and combines them with frothy, airy textures that echo the ghostly trails of the model's wraps.  These are certainly tombs with a view of beauty preserved for eternity.

Varga-Esque by Melbourne's Craig Skeates

There's nothing more appealing to me, than a retro-inspired pin-up look.  Craig Skeates of John Morrey Salon in Melbourne, created this unique photo story based on the beautiful retro-inspired styling.  This collection was inspired by "Vargas Girls" the popular pin-up art of Alberto Varge from the 1940s to the 1970s.  Craig's collection includes strong, solid retro colors that form the basis of the distinctive cuts and upstyles inspired by a past era but with a commercial, contemporary flavor.  It's silhouettes are indicative of the Vargas era, with Vargas-style femininity flowing throughout the collection, enough to want to inspire you to recreate you own look!

Wella Vision Trend 2011

A striking marriage of inspiration and complication.  It speaks to the lovers of haute couture and those who crave a colorful muse.  Wella presents four new trends: Lumina, Glamazon, Passionista, and Polaris.

Trend 1: Lumina:
Imagine a luxurious, perfect future.  Lumina is technology induced and influenced.  The futuristic aesthetics defy gravity and speaks innovative perfection.  The color speaks translucent lightness while the cut and style is fluid, yet controlled.  Color shades are golden , silvery and subtle hints of rose.

Trend 2: Glamazon:
She is magnetic and hypnotizing.  Embodying a wild and unashamed magnetism, you see an allegorical Amazon.  Embracing the sexy adventurer persona, Glamazon is defiant and fearless.  The tones are brown, coppers and bronzes.  She is truly spellbinding.

Trend 3: Passionista:
Re-discover love and seduction and the thrilling emotion of a first kiss.  Her confident sensuality and striking color gently caresses your imagination.  The color can range from flushing pinks to red desires.  The styling is a playful and caressing fluidity.

Trend 4: Polaris:
Majestic elegance with deep, muted tones, Polaris is an assertive beauty that is strong, daring, and charismatic with detailed elegance.  Deep blacks and smokey tones allow the distinctive efficiency and sculptural cut magnetize the senses.
